set standards unmatched until this day but the introduction of the FM 1811 with its new technology has such an impact that all efforts have to be concentrated on crafting FM 1811's.
There is no doubt the FM 811 and its MKII incarnation will always been highly sought after and understandably so.
The reason for its "retirement" has only to do with the fact that some of the newest technologies that have been used in the FM 1811, FM 115 and the FM 411-MKII cannot be incorporated in the FM
811 MKII - which makes it impossible to develop it further.
But no tears need to be shed: the FM 1811 provides even higher resolution, incorporates all new technologies and provides massively higher drive capability into complex (real-world loudspeaker)
loads at the same size and almost same weight. It will continue the uncanny tradition of the FM 811's unsurpassed musicality at an even higher level.
